Abstract

The ltalians physician in São Paulo, 1890-1930 - a strategy of social mobility. This study concerns a sociological analysis of the immigration process of ltalians physicians to São Paulo from 1890 to 1930. It focusses their social and profissional movements in the urban development environment of São Paulo State, as well as its sanitary conditions, during this period.
